Mr. Brewer introduced our new student representative for next year, Danielle Hubbard. Ms. Kiefer mentioned the recent AP testing and everyone preparing for finals. Graduation is this Friday at 7:30 pm and will be held outside, weather permitting. She also noted what a great job the students did with the mural at the Daycare center and that the student council members were elected this week.

7.B. DHS Principal's Report

Mr. Dodd discussed the MAP scores and compared this year's results to last year. We have more college ready students and a higher graduation rate this year. He also mentioned that we are looking to move away from MAP testing and some of the administration has met with 2 other testing companies to see what they have to offer. Lastly, he noted that there will be a Summer Reading Program offered this summer.

7.B.1. Online Learning Academy

Mrs. Bonnie Sizemore discussed the Online Learning Academy. There are currently 52 classes being offered and there have been 151 total credits earned by students this year.

7.C. LES Principal's Report

Mrs. Dragan discussed all the great opportunities going on this summer at LES such as the Summer Reading Challenge, Summer Learning Experiences, 21st Century Summer Program, Intermediate Summer School, Science Camp and so on. Also, the library will be open every Tuesday from 5-7 pm and every Thursday from noon-2 pm during June and July.

Mr. Wolf noted that everyone has been working hard this month on the KPREP testing. He also discussed the new Certified Evaluation Plan, which the board will approve at the June meeting.

7.E. Attendance/Energy Management/Student Services/Transportation

Mr. Kinmon noted that transportation was higher this month due to extra field trips. Attendance is at 94.84% and enrollment is at 914. He also mentioned that Project Cincinnati took place on May 16th, during which volunteers painted areas at the Board and High School, landscaped, and updated the Teacher's Lounge at LES.

Mrs. Howell noted that they want to remove the fence by the Daycare to provide an enclosed space for the children but are still working on the funding for the project. She mentioned that the Preschool will have 58 students returning next year. In addition, they are finalizing the Children's Inc. class, there will be Play and Learn classes available in July, and they are working on a project to offer free family photos to all families of Dayton. Lastly, she noted that the Itinerate Special Education position has been filled but we are still needing to fill the School Psychologist position.
