Students Drewann Ackerson and Kayla Wilson gave a presentation on why they believe seniors should be allowed to decorate their graduation caps.

Madelynn mentioned that the juniors recently took the ACT and the seniors took the KOSSA test. She also noted that this week is Career Week and College Signing Day is this Friday, March 27th.

Mr. Dodd noted that the ACT results should be back in a couple of weeks. Also, DHS had 8 students take and pass the Work Keys test on March 23rd.

Mr. Duty noted that the LES students have currently read over 10,000 books. Also, he was very proud to announce that LES is officially a Proficient school.

Mr. Kinmon noted that attendance is at 911 due to two families leaving the District.

Transportation was slightly up do to Camp Joy this month.

For Student Services, he noted that we received a $10,000 grant from the NFL/Bengals to use on new equipment for our football team.

Mrs. Howell noted that Daycare is currently full and Preschool is having an information/registration night on April 15th.

There will be a Kindergarten Kickoff on April 9th and the Kindergarten Readiness Summit will be May 9th.

Mr. Brewer noted that former NFL player, Artose Pinner, visited the students and staff at DHS during lunch on March 20th. This visit was due to DHS winning 1st place in the School Breakfast Challenge.

He also mentioned that LES is working to fully cook all meals at their cafeteria starting next year. This would increase the food quality and would be easier on staff members.
