Order #6556 - Motion Passed:  Approval of the agenda passed with a motion by Mr. Michael Ausenbaugh and a second by Ms. Tracy Overby.

4. Action Items:
4.A. Discussion/Approval acknowledging and declaring the Board of Education seat of Jenny Bruce as open for applicants and begin advertising and accepting applications. The Board will attempt to fill the open seat by holding a meeting at 6pm on January 31, 2022. Applications must be received on or before January 26, 2022, at noon, to Superintendent Whalen. (For reference: The seat does not expire until December 31, 2024. The person appointed by the Board will be required to file and run for the seat in the November 2022 election if they choose to and want to hold the seat until the term expires).

4.B. Discussion/Approval to add 20 minutes of instruction to each school day when school begins on January 18th. By adding time, students will be able to end the school year on May 20, 2022 as specified in the original school calendar. This would have school starting 5 minutes earlier each day and going 15 minutes longer. Any snow or other related missed school days will result in days being added to the end of the school calendar OR NTI days may be utilized if available. **Disclaimer: Potential future action taken by the KY State Legislature may allow some relief that would allow us to make changes to this plan.

(This would be like the units next to the BOE office)
