Approval to rescind tax rates for FY 2016 on motor vehicles, watercraft, and airplanes as set on the August 20th, 2015 Board Meeting and set those rates to stay the same rate as the current of 68.7 cents for motor vehicles, watercraft, and airplanes per House Bill 44 or 19 which states that the motor vehicle rate does “not exceed the rate that could have been levied on motor vehicles by the district on January 1, 1983 assessments of motor vehicles.” Keep the real estate rate, tangible personal property and merchants inventory tax rates at 70.4 cents as approved on August 20th, 2015.
