An Ordinance annexing the property located at 3238 Kidron Valley Way, containing 1.167 acres. There will be an annexation incentive agreement for the property.

An Ordinance annexing the property located at 1937 Leitchfield Road, containing 2.237 acres. There will be an annexation incentive agreement for the property.

Consider Municipal Order 01-2022 entitled A MUNICIPAL ORDER AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH KIDRON INVESTMENT, LLC PROVIDING FOR THE CONSENSUAL ANNEXATION OF UNINCORPORATED PROPERTY LOCATED IN DAVIESS COUNTY AT 3238 KIDRON VALLEY WAY, CONTAINING 1.167 ACRES, MORE OR LESS; AND FURTHER PROVIDING THAT THE CITY SHALL REIMBURSE KIDRON INVESTMENT, LLC ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE TOTAL AD VALOREM (EXCLUDING SCHOOL TAX), NET PROFITS, AND GENERAL FUND OCCUPATIONAL TAX REVENUES DERIVED FROM THE PROPERTY OVER A DESIGNATED FIVE (5) YEAR PERIOD.
Kidron Investment, LLC has consented to the annexation of the property located at 3238 Kidron Valley Way, containing 1.167 acres. The Order sets forth the terms and conditions of the annexation incentives.

Consider Municipal Order 02-2022 entitled A MUNICIPAL ORDER APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF SETTLEMENT PARTICIPATION FORMS ELECTING PARTICIPATION IN SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS WITH JANSSEN AND VARIOUS OPIOID DISTRIBUTORS FOR AMOUNTS TO BE DETERMINED, AGREEING TO USE SETTLEMENT PROCEEDS FOR OPIOID REMEDIATION AND RELEASING ANY EXISTING AND POTENTIAL CLAIMS FOR ALLEGED HARMS CAUSED BY OPIOID MISUSE AND ABUSE.
The Order authorizes the City of Owensboro's election to participate in settlement agreements with Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and various opioid distributors to use settlement proceeds for opioid remediation and further releases any existing and potential claims for alleged harms caused by opioid misuse and abuse.

OPEN PUBLIC FORUM
Members of the audience are invited to address the City Commission on any matter of public concern that was not on tonight’s agenda. Comments are limited to issues within the scope and responsibility of this Commission. Commission meetings are held to conduct city business for the benefit of Owensboro citizens and taxpayers.
At this time, anyone who wishes to address the City Commission please make their way to the podium to be recognized. Speakers must state their name and address for the Clerk’s record, and limit their remarks to three (3) minutes or less. Since the item is not on the agenda, no response is required from City staff or the Commission. The Mayor reserves the right to extend time to the speaker.
