5. Jerusalem Ridge Foundation Agreement
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the Jerusalem Ridge Foundation Agreement (as presented on file at County Clerk's Office)and to put before the Jerusalem Ridge Foundation for review passed with a motion by Brandon Thomas and a second by Jason Bullock.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the appointment of a Contract Amendment Research Committee consisting of Magistrate Larry Keown, Magistrate Jason Bullock, Gerald Geary, and Sharon Autry passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by David Johnston.

6. Purchase Patrol Cars
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve the authorization of Sheriff David Thompson to purchase (7) used patrol cars for the Sheriff's Department from the unobligated balance in the single county LGEDF Fund. The (MOA) Memorandum of Agreement,Resolution and Contract must be completed and processed by the Department of Local Government before the vehicles can be purschased. The total purchase price, cannot exceed $103,250. passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to authorize Sheriff David Thompson to purchase, by financing, (4) new patrol cars using funds from the Sheriff's Department budget of $1,466,992. Before vehicles can be purchased and financed, Sheriff Thompson must show the line item to the County Treasurer, Anne Melton, within his budget, that the loan will be paid from passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Brandon Thomas.

7. Coal Severance Presentation-Anne Melton, County Treasurer
Discussion

County Treasurer-Anne Melton made a presentation to the Court about coal severance money and projects.

8. Ammend Annual Order Setting Maximum Amount for Sheriff Deputies and Assistants.

10. Bid for Community Center Auditorium Lights, Sound and Video Equipment

Judge Johnston appointed a committee to review all bids and quotes for any electrical, video, light or sound equipment for the community center auditorium.

12. Occupational Tax Administrator-Judge Executive David Johnston

Motion Passed:  Motion made by Judge Executive, David Johnston to hire Charlotte Jones as Occupational Tax Administrator to replace Lugenia Sapp, effective August 22, 2011 at a rate of pay of $13.00 per hour with a raise after (3) months passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Kenny Autry.

13. Wage Subsidy-Chasity Lindsey
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to hire Chasity Lindsey for full-time on the Wage Subsidy Program for a (6) month period at $9.50 per hour, effective August 29, 2011 passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Larry Keown.

14. Committee Reports
Discussion

The Road Viewing Committee: Chief Deputy Steve Kimble, Road Supervisor Joe Woods and Citizen Rex Gossett went and looked at Riverview Roadand determined that it did not need to be closed because it would be maintained by the coal companies. They did not review Cotton Lane due to legal issues, no action taken.

Smoking Committee-Magistrate Jason Bullock said once the Jerusalem Ridge Foundation Agreement was made then he would work on the smoking ordinance.

15. *Other business open to any magistrate, public official or the general public
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to hire at the Sheriff's Department, Brandon Boone for full-time at $16.00 per hour, effective August 11, 2011 passed with a motion by David Johnston and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to authorize the County Treasurer, Anne Melton to write a check for up to the amount of the insurance check of $13,200.00 towards the purchase and replacement of the destroyed animal shelter truck passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by Brandon Thomas.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to dual classify county road employee, Beau Wright to serve also as a Deputy Animal Control Officer as needed, being paid out of the Animal Shelter's budget passed with a motion by Michael McKenney and a second by Kenny Autry.

Motion Passed:  Motion made for the Court to approve to hire someone to build and reroute a new road into the soccer field at the Ohio County Park, not to exceed $15,000.00 passed with a motion by Brandon Thomas and a second by Jason Bullock.

Discussion

Magistrate Jason Bullock and Park Director Susan Chinn discussed with the Court using the polesr/racks and lights from the County Park to be used by the City of Beaver Dam.
