Sheriff expressed his concern for the rate of pay for his deputies as another deputy has left for another department. Local departments are offering more in terms of hourly compensation. 

EMA Director Charlie Shields announced the closing of Dundee Narrows Road from July 6-30, 2021 for road construction.

Motion Passed:  Approved the purchase of Solid Waste equipment in the amount of $6,141.14 for a 2021 John Deer Gator TS (1M04X2SJEMM162042. Authorize County Treasurer to issue check(s) passed with a motion by Larry Keown and a second by Joe Barnes.

Motion Passed:  Approved Resolution 2021-16 EMA FEMA passed with a motion by Larry Morphew and a second by Jason Bullock.

Jailer Rip Wright approached the Fiscal Court concerning his Deputies' hourly pay. Request was to give them a $2.00 raise to be capped at $15.00. Fiscal Court will have a wage scale committee meeting to assess the hourly rate of pay across the board for all county employees and evaluate each department as a whole. Special Call scheduled for Wednesday June 30, 2021 at 4:30pm.

Employee was working a lot of overtime taking calls at nights and on weekends. Salary worked better than hourly.
