Order #138 - Motion Passed:  request to designate a room for the PEP Grant Fitness Facility pending enrollment passed with a motion by Ms. Melissa Herald and a second by Ms. Kendra Franke and the consensus of the council.

In year three of the Fit 4 Life Grant Southgate will receive funding to purchase fitness equiptment and create a fitness facility. Council discussed room availability for such a facility and will designate an area after seeing enrollment for the 2013-14 school year.

Mr. Palm provided the following updates:

1) The Board of Education has reviewed the 2013 TELL Survey and is very pleased with the 100% response and positive feedback. They would like to meet with council to address the areas of concern. The meeting will take place in August or September.

2) On Opening Day Mr. Palm will review the new policy manual with staff. The Manual is available on Southgate's Website under Board Minutes. The Policy Manual will involve new procedures for many requests, etc...
