Guest Presentation
Elizabeth Kirby
Mrs. Kirby presented to Council regarding a student incentive program for next school year. Council encouraged Mrs. Kirby and her committee to focus on a few aspects for the first year and recommended partnering with the Reading Counts program to encourage more reading.
III.
Principal's Report
Mr. Franke discussed the upcoming Program Review Reports, SBDM training and upcoming events at the school.

Spring MAP Report
The spring 2016 results were discussed.
V.
Professional Development Plan 2016-17
Order #303 - Motion Passed: Approval of 2016-17 professional development plan passed with a motion by Ms. Melissa Herald and a second by Ms. Karan Hackman and the consensus of the council.

Budget Report
Council agreed to the following:
1) Purchase new graduation gowns from balance of 8th grade fund
2) Move money from old banking account to the band account

Order #305 - Motion Passed: Approval of FY17 budget passed with a motion by Ms. Melissa Herald and a second by Ms. Kendra Franke and the consensus of the council.

Revised School Space Policy
Order #306 - Motion Passed: Approval of first reading of the revised School Space Policy passed with a motion by Ms. Melissa Herald and a second by Ms. Shelley Hamberg and the consensus of the council.
Council approved the first reading of the Revised School Space Policy.

Comments from the Audience
Mr. Palm updated Council on the following items:
1) The Kentucky State Budget excluded cuts to education for the current school year. The legislation for expanding preschool was cut.
2) The Council needs to determine space for the next superintendents office if in the building.
3) HB 184 allows the superintendent to hire the principal. This is currently applies to Jefferson County only.
4) All 7-12 grade students will be required to learn CPR next school year.
