II. Principal's Report

Mr. Franke discussed the following items with Council:

1) SBDM funds allocated for supplies need to be expended by March 16th this year.

2) Any input regarding the 2016-17 Master Schedule should be sent to Mr. Franke over the next couple of weeks.

3) Parent/Teacher conferences may be held over two evenings next school year or a combination of one evening and half of one day.

4) SB 1 has moved to the house for discussion

III. Proposed Budget Cuts

Mr. Palm presented Council with the proposed budget cuts for FY16, 17 and 18. These cuts represent a total of $30000 to the district if they are approved by the General Assembly.

VIII. 2016-17 School Calendar

Council reviewed a proposed 2016-17 School Calendar that will be presented to the Southgate Board of Education.

IX. Comments from the Audience
Discussion

Mr. Palm updated Council on the following items:

1) Southgate is the only independent district in Campbell County to be rated as a High Progress District on the 2015 state assessment

2) Southgate is one of nine districts to be selected as Energy Efficient Districts in Kentucky

3) There will be roofing repairs to the building during the summer break
