Principal's Report
Mr. Franke updated council on the World Language/Global Competency Program review and the symposium attended last month. Second semester work will begin on creating a plan to implement the program for 2016-17.
Also discussed was the current Winter MAP testing and upcoming events.

Order #290 - Motion Passed: Approval of the 201516 Southgate School Improvement Plan passed with a motion by Ms. Melissa Herald and a second by Ms. Kinta Joseph and the consensus of the council.

Comments from the Audience
Mrs. Richter commented on the World Language/Global Competency Program Review and added perspective from her current class.
Mr. Palm updated Council on the following items:
1) The Federal Government is in the process of replacing No Child Left Behind with Every Student Succeeds Act. Which would limit testing to Reading and Math.
2) Mr. Palm will be attending a meeting on the future of the Regional Schools as well as the Superintendent Conference. The new Commissioner of Education has established a task force to report back to him on challenges associated with the current Program Review system.
