Mr. Franke updated council on the following items:

1) KDE is conducting a survey regarding CIITS and the Educator Developer Suite as it pertains to PGES requirements.

2) Program Review Audits will take place in 8 schools this year across the Commonwealth. Schools are unknown at this time.

3) The February DAC training for the spring K-PREP assessment was postponed due to weather.

Order #249 - Motion Passed:  Approval of revised Wellness Policy passed with a motion by Ms. Shelley Hamberg and a second by Ms. Leha Schutte and the consensus of the council.

VII. Comments from the Audience
Discussion

Mr. Palm updated council on the following items:

1) School Calendar, Mr. Palm asked for council input on using Friday March 27th as a make up day. Council thought it would be a good idea and would move the students last day to May 29th. Mr. Palm will discuss with the Board of Education.
2) Council Allocation: No changes are recommended to staffing at this time, but due to a decrease in SEEK and less students councils allocation will be around $10,000 less
3) Teressa Elliot will be the new Southgate Board of Education member
4) The Dayton Independent School District has agreed to be the school of record for the Regional Programs. This will allow the program to continue.
5) Several bills including funding for the teachers pension program, transgender education hiring of personnel are being discussed in the General Assembly.
