• Principal's Report December 2014

Mr. Franke updated council on the upcoming events in December: Book Fair, Literacy Night, Band Concert and Holiday Shop.

• 2014-15 Working Draft

Order #236 - Motion Passed:  Approval of 2014-15 CSIP passed with a motion by Ms. Kendra Franke and a second by Ms. Melissa Herald and the consensus of the council.

Council reviewed the 2014-15 CSIP/CDIP and Mr. Franke will complete and submit to the state.

• Activity Fund

Mr. Franke updated council on changes to the ESS program to better meet the needs of our students. Changes were made possible by the Southgate Board of Education agreeing to fund the BUG and H2R programs.

Mr. Franke informed council that there are a couple of potential candidates for the Media Specialist position, but still no official application has been received.

Mr. Palm updated council on the following:

Mr. Palm will attend the superintendent's conference next week. There will be a presentation on the "real" costs of educating a child in Kentucky. The General Assembly and Media have been invited to attend.

We will be applying for a state grant designed to provide programs to incentivize students to stay in school. The grant is for $10000.00.

Mr. Palm shared the minutes from what may be the first board meeting in the state of Kentucky. The minutes centered on the job description for the first teacher.
