Elementary Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds-This is federal money to help schools get through the pandemic.  PISD received 2.5 million to help students get caught up from lost instruction of the last 13 months.  We would like to offer enrichment opportunities in addition to the regular summer school.  The challenge is getting teachers to work in the summer, but we plan to pay full wages to help recruit teachers rather than the hourly tutoring rate.  Also, things that students will want to come and participate in.

SACS/Cognia Accreditation review that happens every 5 years finished last week.  We bot a 318 which was above average and a very rare score.  Exemplary on many areas such as high expectations, meeting individual needs, special needs, and digital resources.  Our areas for improvement/recommendations were more formal structured PLCs and student involvement in Career Education/Pathways and to have a more prominent mission/vision statement.
