Others present: Humza Ahmad, Hunter Ford, Cami Gaunt, Lindsey Lockhart and Jared Green

 

Humza Ahmad, senior class president, spoke about the concerns of students with requiring a semester exam in AP courses this year since students were not aware of the change at the beginning of the school year. 

 

Hunter Ford spoke and expressed the need for PSAT prep and education in freshmen and sophomore classes.

IV.d. 2nd Reading of AP Credit Policy
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion to approve the 2nd reading of the amendment to the AP credit policy with the addition of "For the 2018-2019 school year, if students have an A average for the 3rd and 4th 9 weeks, students may exempt the semester exam." passed with a motion by Mr. Brandon Blackburn and a second by Mr. Wayne Hancock and the consensus of the council.

Mr. Booher discussed 25 inducted into NHS, 7th and 8th grade reward to Jenny Wiley for picnic, seniors went to hibachi, update on esports, family and faculty tailgate dinner, upcoming sports events, ESS has started, ACT tutoring starting soon, beginning phases of CSIP, and Vaping education
