Cameron Wright is the student representative to 2015-2016 SBDM council. He said students were interested in gatorade machine in commons area. We also discussed new parking arrangement.

Discussion

Mr. Thomas discussed SBDM training, minority member elections, TELL survey will be discussed at next meeting, ESS schedule, Sept. 2nd school pictures, upcoming annual kick off to school pep rally, Sept. 10th open house, Jr. Chef in state competition final four, Football team won Pike County Bowl, 2 girls qualified for Golf All A, Ryan Crum and Michael Guant are the new student senate leaders and there will be no Jr. High homecoming this year.

Junior High cheer coach and High School Math teacher resigned.

V.c. Possible Meeting with PES SBDM Council
Discussion

We will discuss at meeting in September data and evidence to discuss with PES SBDM council. Cameron will discuss possible recommendation for grading scale change with students. Mrs. Ratliff will discuss and provide input from students and parents. Mr. Lyle Blackburn will contact Jefferson County about their recent change. Mr. Brandon Blackburn will contact universities about their position on grading scales and make a survey. Mrs. Priode will contact Fort Thomas about their grading scale. Mrs. Adams will research and report effect of KEES monies, admissions and scholarships and grades at high school.

Motion Passed:  Approve entering into closed session (general nature of business), (reason for the closed session) pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1) (?) to passed with a motion by Mr. Brandon Blackburn and a second by Mrs. Jackie Priode and the consensus of the council.

VII. Return To Regular Session
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  Motion to return to regular session and recommend Chelsea Lawson Hamilton for Junior High Cheerleading Coach and Jeanette Belcher for High School Math position passed with a motion by Mr. Lyle Blackburn and a second by Mrs. Jackie Priode and the consensus of the council.
