5.1. Attendance
Discussion

We have roughly 180-200 students able to go on the attendance trip, which means they have 95% or better for the year. We have 20 students that still have perfect attendance for the year. Sickness has impacted recent attendance, although it is expected to improve within the next week. 

5.2. 2026-2027 SBDM Teacher Elections
Discussion

We will be talking to Mrs. Henson to set up a date for Teacher SBDM elections for the next school year.

5.3. 2026-2027 SBDM Parent Elections- PTO
Discussion

PTO are taking nominations for parent members until April 17th.

5.4. Newport Aquarium Trip- May 18
Discussion

Scheduled for May 18th. It is for students with 95% or better. We have roughly 180-200 students able to go. 

5.5. Bobcat Showcase and Literacy Luau
Discussion

Bobcat Showcase and Literacy Luau will be on May 14th from 5-7. Students will be asked to showcase something related to literacy that they have learned during Wit & Wisdom instruction or something that is related to Literacy. Mrs. Amanda Miller will be planning other activities for that night too. 

5.6. Preschool Graduation, K Promotion day, 1-2 Awards day

Preschool teachers will be setting a theme for graduation. The decorations will be left for the K Promotion and 1-2 Awards day. The K Promotion day will be formal attire. 1-2 Awards day will be on May 26th and 27th.

6.1. SBDM Funds

There is approximately $2,000 in the SBDM funds. 

6.2. District Activity Funds
Discussion

There is approximately $3,000 in the District Activity Fund. 

6.3. Title I Funds

We will be purchasing data folders for next years students. 

7. Curriculum/Academics
7.1. MAP Fluency Benchmark Testing April 13-17
Discussion

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade have been working on MAP Fluency during the week of April 13-17. 

7.2. MAP Growth Testing May 11-15
Discussion

Students will begin taking MAP Growth for reading and math during the week of May 11-15. This will help us to determine if any students will be retained due to HB 240. 

8. Policy/Policy Review
8.1. Drop off and Pick-up Policy
Discussion

Council discussed the possibility of changing the school day to 7:45-3:05. Morning drop off would being at 7:25 and end at 7:45. Afternoon pickup would begin at 3:05. We are going to inquire with central office about this possible change. 

We also discussed that parents/guardians would need to wait until 2:30 to begin lining up to pick up their child. 

Parents will need to also wait inside their cars and not walk inside or come to the door to pick up their child.
