5.1.
Attendance Incentives
Attendance has continued in the 90% and above. Classes have continued building their bobcats. We have been planning our next attendance incentive.
5.2.
STEM Circus- FRC
The STEM Circus is scheduled March 12th from 5-7pm. There are many STEM activities planned along with a snack. Staff will be working. We will have a magician, a balloon animal maker and a mad scientist lab.
5.3.
2026-2027 SBDM Budget and Principal Combining Budget
The estimated budget for the 2026-2027 SBDM Budget and principal combining budget will be approximately $25,000.
5.4.
Leader in Me
Teachers Megan White and Veronica Riley, the district team, went to a Leader in Me training on Feb. 27th. They will be bringing back information to share with our Lighthouse Team which will then be shared throughout the whole school.

Budget/Finance
6.1.
SBDM Funds
The council discussed the budget. Approximately $11,000 are in the fund.
6.2.
District Activity Funds
District activity funds were reviewed. End of year awards and incentives will be taken out of this in May. Approximately $9,000 remains in this fund.

Title I Funds
Reviewed Title 1 funds.

Curriculum/Academics
7.1.
2026-2027 Kindergarten Camp
Kindergarten Camp will be July 20-24. At Breathitt Elementary, we mix Leadership, Kindness, and Learning to bake bright futures.
7.2.
CPRL Observations
Second round of CPRLs have been taking place for Wit & Wisdom and Eureka Math Squared. This is when admin will come to watch a complete lesson and use a scoring guide.
7.3.
WIN for 2nd Grade
WIN time is a 30 minute block for students to get extra personalized instruction for their reading level.

Policy/Policy Review
SBDM discussed the addition of Lexia and Dreambox as a percentage of students reading and math grade.

CSIP
9.1.
Review and monitor plan
The council reviewed the CSIP and updated the 30-60-90 day plan.

Other Business
A staff moral committee was suggested, including fundraising. PRI purchases were also discussed. PRI has been purchasing teacher wishlist items and Parent Academy items. They will also be sponsoring a wheelchair basketball game.
10.1.
PTO Biddy League Basketball
The PTO will be sending out permission forms for Biddy League basketball. The games will take place at Breathitt Elementary on Thursdays in April.
