1. Roll Call
2. Review of Mission and Vision Statement
Discussion

Mission and vision were discussed. 

2.1. Mission- Making children Ready for a Changing World
2.2. Vision- Our vision is that every student will gain necessary knowledge and skills to succeed at their highest potential.
2.3. Beliefs- We believe all students can become lifelong learners, thinkers, and productive contributors to our society. It is our responsibility to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn at a high level in a safe and secure learning environment.
3. Approval of Agenda
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the current agenda passed with a motion by Mrs. Teresa Combs and a second by Marlene Hamilton and the consensus of the council.

4. Approval of Minutes
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting passed with a motion by Jamie Mullins-Smith and a second by Mary Kay Caudill and the consensus of the council.

5. Financial Report
Discussion

Mr. Fugate discussed that no monies had been spent in the last month.  He stated that he would send out a copy of the financial report to all members.

6.1. Virtual Learning
Discussion

The council discussed that school was still completely virtual due to Covid numbers in the county being the "red" zone.  


It was discussed that virtual learning was going fairly well.  However, participation was beginning to fall.  More parents/students were requesting paper packets instead of logging onto Google classroom.


Mr. Fugate discussed that teachers have began including 30 minutes to 1 hour each day for tutoring for the students that need it.


The council discussed the Breakout Rooms feature within the Google Classroom.  Several teachers have began to use these and the students really seem to enjoy them and are participating more in the small groups.


Mr. Fugate discussed that K-1 grades have began progress monitoring the students with the help of the curriculum team.  This will help determine where each child is in their independent learning and what needs they need.

7. Approval of 2020-2021 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the 2020-2021 CSIP passed with a motion by Mrs. Teresa Combs and a second by Jamie Mullins-Smith and the consensus of the council.

Discussion

Mr. Fugate discussed the CSIP.  The council reviewed the goals and objectives/strategies. 


8. Approval of application for KyCL Literacy Grant
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the KyCL Literacy Grant passed with a motion by Marlene Hamilton and a second by Jamie Mullins-Smith and the consensus of the council.

9. Academic Report
Discussion

The council discussed the nine weeks would end after classes resumes in January.  This will give the students additional time to catch up on assignments that may need to work on.
