2. Review of Mission and Vision Statement
Discussion

Mission and vision were discussed. 

2.1. Mission- Making children Ready for a Changing World
2.2. Vision- Our vision is that every student will gain necessary knowledge and skills to succeed at their highest potential.
2.3. Beliefs- We believe all students can become lifelong learners, thinkers, and productive contributors to our society. It is our responsibility to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn at a high level in a safe and secure learning environment.
3. Approval of Agenda
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the agenda passed with a motion by Mrs. Teresa Combs and a second by Jamie Mullins-Smith and the consensus of the council.

4. Approval of Minutes
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting passed with a motion by Mary Kay Caudill and a second by Marlene Hamilton and the consensus of the council.

5. Financial Report
Discussion

Mr. Fugate discussed the financial report with the council.

6.1. Virtual Learning
Discussion

The council discussed that students are back on complete virtual learning, at the moment, due to Breathitt County being in the "red" with the high numbers of Covid cases.


The council discussed that, for the most part, students continue to log on to the google classroom and are participating in live classes.  Mr. Fugate asked the teachers to send him a list of students who are not participating and the office staff would get in touch with the families.

7. Open Meetings and Open Records
Actions Taken

Motion Passed:  The council approved the open meetings and open records passed with a motion by Mary Kay Caudill and a second by Mrs. Teresa Combs and the consensus of the council.

8. Review 2020-2021 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan
Discussion

Mr. Fugate gave an update on the CSIP at this point, phase 2 has been completed.  He discussed with the council that phase 3 was due soon.  

9. Academic Report
Discussion

The council discussed most students are participating in google classroom class meets.  The students who don't have internet service or poor internet service can access their work offline.  The teachers are available for additional assistance, if needed.
