Approval of Minutes

New Business
Mr. Fugate discussed with the council that the 3rd grade classroom currently has 30 students after transfers moved in after Christmas break. The council approved to increase the cap of 24 students until it can be looked at for a resolution.
6.
Approve 2020-2021 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan
Mr. Fugate gave the council a copy of the 2020-2021 CSIP for MR-C. The council looked at the items that the school is implementing or has already implemented at this time.
7.
Financial Report
Mr. Fugate explained that he could not get a report printed because his password had expired and he didn't realize it.
Marlene Hamilton had emailed Stacy McKnight about sending the needed report but at the time of the meeting, had not received a reply.

Academic Report
8.1.
Student achievement
Mr. Fugate discussed that MR-C would be hosting the Academic Showcase on February 7th.
The History Bowl champions and 6th grade Showcase students will be recognized for their achievements at the upcoming school board meeting at the end of January.
Winter MAP testing will be the week of January 21st-31st.
9.
Curriculum Update
Mr. Fugate discussed that teachers had recently received training on the new science curriculum, Amplify Science, 6th grade went on January 13th and K-5th grade teachers went on January 14th. The program will be implemented after MAP testing (1st week of February). Stacy Davidson has started Guided Planning with the teachers. This is an opportunity for her to walk the teachers through the new lesson plan format. Tier tracking sheets will be completed by Tara Hall and Nancy Eversole for all teachers. Nancy Eversole will be implementing a social/developmental curriculum with K-6 classes called the Sanford Harmony.

Behavior Data
Mr. Fugate discussed that due to chaotic nature of the time between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break, the PBIS reward still needs to be held.

Policy Review/Approval

Discipline Policy
The council conducted the first reading of the Discipline Policy. After reviewing the policy, some updates were suggested and discussed. Those updates will be made. The council will review the policy at the next meeting and adopt it at that time, if necessary.
12.
Informational items
Mr. Fugate explained to the council that surveys for MAP growth and proficiency need to be completed.
He also explained that KONA ice would be coming to MR-C on January 23rd.
