Monthly Review of Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP)
The council discussed the planning phase of the new CSIP. Mr. Fugate shared the critical initiatives with the council.

Mr. Fugate explained that during the last round of MAP testing, MRC had to borrow iPads from SES to complete testing with grades K-2 because we did not have enough iPads that were compatible with the NWEA system. He explained that we need to purchase a class set of iPads to have to be able to complete the required testing. The approximate cost would be $7500 for 25 new iPads. The council agreed.

Academic Report
Open House was held on October 24th, parents received report cards, Fall MAP testing scores, and KPREP scores from the 2018-2019 school year.

Curriculum Update
K-2 teachers will be participating in LLI training on November 25 and 26th. This is a reading intervention program that the teachers can implement with the students.

Behavior Data
Mr. Fugate discussed that there were 7 behavior referrals for the month of October (4 in the classroom, 3 on the playground, and 1 in the cafeteria). He explained that this is up from 4 referrals for the month of September. The council discussed possible causes of the increase.

The council reviewed the second reading of the Writing Policy. The council approved the Writing Policy.
11.2.
Technology Policy
The council read and discussed the first reading of the technology policy. The council will make any needed changes and have a second reading during the December SBDM meeting.

Informational items
The council discussed the Veterans Day Program was held on November 8th. The veterans ate lunch and then were honored during a program in the gym. Grandparents/Parents Day lunch will be held on November 21, 2019. Grandparents and/or parents can come have Thanksgiving lunch with the students for $4.
