4.b. OMES C.O.#1 - Concrete for Electrical Lines
Bret Highley
Rationale

Presented is Change Order #1 for the New Old Mill Construction Project, in the amount of $3,373.15, to cover the primary electric lines with concrete underground from Golden Wing Road to the transformer at the loading dock. Although Salt River Electric does not require the lines to be encased in concrete, due to safety reasons, the Bullitt County Maintenance Department asked for this request to completely encase the electrical lines in concrete. There will be 7,200 volts going through these primary lines. This Change Order was approved by the Superintendent per the Board's authorization on May 23, 2016 to keep the project moving without delay and the amount being under $7,500.
