CO#6, BLMS Renovation/Addition Project - Gas Lines

Change Order #6, in the amount of $23,647.00, is for the replacement of undersized gas lines. The original construction documents from the archives stated that the existing gas line on the BLMS roof was 4”. After construction started, it was discovered that the gas line is actually a 2” line, and goes down to 1 ¼” line. Due to the currently undersized gas lines, the rooftop units are undersupplied and starved for natural gas in the winter. If the gas lines are not corrected to the proper size, the new rooftop units and water heaters will not have enough natural gas for them to operate properly. More information is provided. This will increase EH Construction’s contract from $9,064,884.96 to $9,088,491.96.
