9. Action Items
9.1. Review Superintendent's recommendation to adopt dates of Regular Board meetings, time of meetings, location of meetings for 2024, as listed and make available to the public per KRS 61.820 (See Attachment);
9.2. Review recommendation from Superintendent Boblett to approve the commissioning fee proposal in the amount of Thirty-Six Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($36,480.00) for the Boyd County Career and Technical Center from Facility Commissioning Group; (See Attachments)
9.3. Review recommendation from Superintendent Boblett to approve a proposal from Synergy Test and Balance for the cost of performing Test and Balance (TAB) Services for equipment used on the Boyd County Career and Technical Center construction project in the amount of Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-five Dollars ($16,965.00) for the TAB Base Bid as well as a Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00) for a Duct Leakage Test per Trip Cost; (See Attachments)
9.4. Review the request from Cindy Pontier, Chief Information Officer, to send Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and accept bids for the renovation, replacement, and upgrade of wired and/or wireless data networks at Cannonsburg Elementary, Catlettsburg Elementary, Summit Elementary, Ponderosa Elementary, Boyd County Central, BCMS and BCHS to vendors with state awarded contracts; (See Attachments)
9.5. Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve the District Comprehensive Improvement Plan as presented by Janice Marcum, Chief Academic Officer;
9.6. Review Superintendent's recommendation to pay a one-time supplemental stipend in the amount of $300 to all active contract employees (including part-time, full-time and retirees) hired prior to December 1, 2023. Retirees will be ineligible if this payment would cause them to exceed their Daily Wage Threshhold (DWT). No substitutes, including retired substitutes, would be eligible for this stipend. Payment for this stipend will be sent via direct deposit on December 22, 2023. Active shall mean still employed as of December 19, 2023; (See Attachements)
9.7. Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve first reading of Kentucky School Board Association Policy 04.32 draft revision to denote that the model procurement plan for Food Services is different from the district plan and is determined by the superintendent; (See Attachments)
9.8. Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve first reading of Kentucky School Board Association Policy 07.13 draft revision to denote that the model procurement plan for Food Service is different from the district plan and is determined by the superintendent; (See Attachments)
9.9. Review a 2024-2025 School Calendar per Board Policy 08.3. One calendar was presented for discussion at the November Board meeting by Marci Prater, DPP and the Calendar Committee. This subsequent discussion will be to adopt the calendar presented by the committee; (See Attachments)
9.10. Review request from Dara'Su Williams, Special Education Director, to approve a shortened school week for Student #1, Grade 14 student at Boyd County High School, in accordance with appropriate documentation and per requirement of Kentucky Department of Education procedures; (See Attachments)
9.11. Review recommendation from Ben Fritz, Principal at Boyd County High School, to approve a Building and Grounds Usage Request from Bluegrass Volleyball Academy to use the BCHS gym on Wednesdays from 6:00pm - 8:00pm beginning on December 20, 2023 and ending on June 19, 2024; (See Attachments)
