5.1. Superintendent Boblett and Matt Spade will recognize and present a Certificate to Madeline Cantrell, 8th grader at Boyd County Middle, for winning the KHA state poster contest, What Home Means to Me, out of 120 housing authorities. Madeline's poster will go to the National Association of Housing contest in May. (Madeline was not present)
5.2. Superintendent Boblett and Matt Spade recognized and presented a Certificate to 11-year-old, 5th grader, at Catlettsburg Elementary, Aubrey Johnson. Aubrey saved her grandmother who was experiencing a heart attack, by administering life-saving CPR. She was given a standing ovation.
6. Request to Address Board Chair - Please keep in mind the Board uses the public comment period as an opportunity to listen to citizen concerns and comments. The board will not debate issues or enter into a question-and-answer dialogue. Under Board policy, your comments are limited to 3 minutes, Mr. Boblett will track the time.

9.1. Review Board Policy No. 09.224 draft change, Students: Emergency Medical Treatment, to include maintaining an Opioid Antagonist in the school district; This constitutes the first reading (See Draft Attachment)

Review request from Larry Barber, Administrative Assistant, Boyd County High School, to approve the Municipal Lease Agreement and Agreement Addendum between Canon Financial Services, Inc., Chicago, Illinois and Boyd County School District (Boyd County High) in the amount of Eighty-two Dollars and Thirty-five cents ($82.35) for the term of thirty-six (36) months for an ImageRunner Advance DX Copier; (See Attachments)

Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve the request from Jessica Perkins, Cannonsburg Elementary, to obtain Gold Shield Transportation, Lexington, Kentucky as the charter bus company and to travel to the Columbus Zoo, Columbus, Ohio April 27, 2023 taking the Safety Patrol and chaperones; (See Attachment)
9.4. Review Superintendent's recommendation to approve setting the high school graduation for Friday, May 19, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to take place in the high school gymnasium as requested by Tom Holbrook, Boyd County High Principal;

Pursuant to Board Policy 08.31 and 702 KAR 007:140, review Superintendent's recommendation to approve the Master Bell Schedules for Boyd County High, Boyd County Middle, Cannonsburg Elementary, Catlettsburg Elementary, Ponderosa Elementary, and Summit Elementary as presented by Dr. Marci Prater, DPP; (See Attachments)

9.10. Review Fundraiser Request from Heather Moore-Frame, Catlettsburg Elementary, Media Specialist, to conduct a school-wide fundraiser, book fair with Scholastic, Inc., April 26-30, 2023; (See Attachment)

Review School-Related Student Trip Request from Julie Helton, Boyd County Career and Technical Education Center, for six (6) students and three (3) faculty sponsors to attend SKILLS, USA at the Crowne Plaza, Louisville, Kentucky April 19-21, 2023 and travel by a district-owned vehicle and private car; (See Attachment)
9.12. Review Buildings and Grounds Utilization Request from Paul Prichard, Flatwoods, Kentucky to use the Boyd County Middle School Cafeteria and Gym Lobby for his wedding and reception June 3, 2023, 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Mr. Prichard is a custodian at Boyd County Middle; (See Attachments)
9.13. Review Fundraiser Request from Heather Moore, School Counselor, Ponderosa Elementary, to conduct a school-wide Coin Drive with House of Altruismo. Donations will be collected to go towards a new, inclusive school playground March 27, 2023 through May 1, 2023; (See Attachment)
9.14. Review recommendation of Cheryl Caldwell, Transportation Director, to adopt the Resolution to use the 2023 Kentucky Interlocal School Transportation Association (KISTA) Used Bus Sale for the five (5) school buses needing to surplus. The following are to surplus: 2003 Thomas, VIN IT88T3C2941137574; 2006 International, VIN 4DRBVAARX6A178008; 2006 Thomas, VIN 4UZAAWDC66CV28444; 2002 Thomas, VIN 4UUZAAWAK83CK30369; and 2004 Thomas, VIN 4UZAAWDC65CN36090. This authorizes the Superintendent to either accept or reject any and all bids received for the used buses immediately following the sale without further board action; (See Attachments)
