Notice of Hearing to receive comments on proposed tax rates (each speaker is limited to 3 minutes please) -
The Spencer County Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing at the Spencer County High School Media Center on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 6:30 pm to hear public comments regarding the general fund tax levy options. The rates being considered range from a compensating rate of 59.5 to a maximum rate of 61.8 reflecting the 4% increase as allowed by House Bill 44. The exoneration rate is .1 cent.
