The Spencer County Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing at Taylorsville Elementary School Cafeteria on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. to hear public comments regarding the general fund tax levy options.  The rates being considered range from a compensating rate of 60.7 cents on real property and 65.2 cents on personal property to a maximum rate of  63.1 cents on real property and 65.2 cents on personal property reflecting the 4% increase as allowed by House Bill 44.
