DISCUSSION: Bid opening for the new elementary school project. Discussions will take place among board members with architects and potentially contractors including but not limited to: base bid, potential add alternates and deductions, building design elements, construction schedules, bonding potential and the impact on additional facility planning, resolutions surrounding the sale of bonds, and stakeholder input/feedback pertaining to the project, and any other discussion topics relating to the construction of the new elementary school. No action will be taken.

DISCUSSION: 2016-2017 State Budget implications as it pertains to Spencer County Schools. Discussions regarding the budgetary process prior to the adoption of the Tentative Working Budget in May will take place with no formal action being taken. Discussions will consist of a review of the General Fund, projections for state and federal grants, review of the contingency, and local elements affecting the budget such as potential raises, increase of fringes and indirect costs, step and rank increases, needs assessment and additional resources, and additional student services, and any other discussion topics relating to the budgetary process.
