Changes to the Agenda
Superintendent Orr indicated that this month's agenda is short due to state testing scores not being available until November this year. He also stated that there was not any changes to the agenda.

Cox's Creek Elementary School to present to the Board a Readers Theater led by Dr. Lanham.
Dr. Lanham, principal of Cox's Creek Elementary introduced the Cox's Creek Elementary chorus led by music teacher,Ms. Melanie Cundiff. She explained that they would be singing the "Preamble" from the School House Rock. The students were . Chairperson, Damon Jackey asked the students what they have learned. Miss stated that she had learned why the Preamble had been written.

“GOOD NEWS”
The students auditioned for and were selected to participate in the All-State Choir. There were over 600 that auditioned for the 190 voice choir. At All-State in November the students will all rehearse all day Friday, and Saturday morning and participate in a concert Saturday afternoon.

The Nelson County School's AFJROTC unit earned an overall Unit Evaluation Exceeds Standard…the highest rating attainable! There were no discrepancies noted during the Unit Evaluation. The instructors are highly dedicated, and create a dynamic and supportive learning environment in and out of the classroom. The cadets displayed exemplary pride, and their extensive participation in numerous school and community service projects is particularly impressive. Congratulations to the instructor team, and the Cadet Corps.
