Change Order #17: Foster Heights
Wet roof insulation was discovered under old roof. The Zero Company is submitting a proposal of $417.60 to replace 96 square feet of wet roof insulation.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #17, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Adam Wheatley and a second by Mr. Nicky Rapier.

Change Order #18: Foster Heights
Due to existing conditions in the field the kitchen hood had to be retrofitted to fit in existing conditions. The Lusk Group submitted a proposal $776.00 to retrofit and install kitchen hood in existing field conditions.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #18, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Nicky Rapier and a second by Mr. Larry Pate.

Change Order #19: Foster Heights
The Nelson County Board of Education has requested a proposal to install CAT 6 cabling in existing school. The Riggs Electrical, Inc. is submitting a proposal of $34,854.96 to provide labor and installation of CAT 6 DATA/VOICE cabling to existing school

Change Order #20: Foster Heights
There were various code issues in the kitchen area and some of the new equipment required additional wiring. The Riggs Electrical, Inc. is submitting a proposal of $3714.91 for labor and materials to correct code issues and extra wiring to kitchen equipment.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #20, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Damon Jackey and a second by Mr. Adam Wheatley.

Change Order #21: Foster Heights
There was a credit due to deleting downspouts connections to the storm drain of $1,108.49. Plus there was an existing sewer manhole cover next to the building that needed raising due to new elevations in the preschool play area for a cost of $635.10. The Filcon Construction, LLC submitted a credit of $383.39.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #21, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Frank Hall and a second by Mr. Larry Pate.

Change Order #22: Foster Heights
Per RP11 we were able to eliminate some of the downspouts which resulted in a credit. The Zero Company is submitting a credit of $400.00 per the elimination of downspouts.

Change Order #23: Foster Heights
The Nelson County Board of Education requested to add vision lites to the existing school classroom doors. The Kidd Glass, Inc submitted a proposal of $607.50 for labor to install the vision lites.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #23, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Adam Wheatley and a second by Mr. Larry Pate.

Change Order #25: Foster Heights
The Nelson County Board of Education requested to add vision lites to the existing school classroom doors. The Alfred Schiller Hardware submitted a proposal of $2,250.00 for furnishing materials for wood bead vision lite kits for the existing classroom doors.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #25, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Larry Pate and a second by Mr. Damon Jackey.

Change Order #26: Foster Heights
Eliminating labor and material of VCT patching in existing Muir wing classrooms. The Nelson County Board Maintenance Department will be installing VCT patching in Muir wing classrooms. The Carpet Decorators, Inc. submitted a credit of $ 810.00 for eliminating labor and material of VCT patching.
Motion Passed: Action to approve Change Order #26, Foster Heights, was passed with a motion by Mr. Frank Hall and a second by Mr. Nicky Rapier.

Final Payment: C&T Design
The BG4 Bid Package 17 Food Service Equipment has been installed by C&T Design and Equipment Co.,In. per contract.
Motion Passed: Action to approve final payment to C&T Design, Bid Package #17, in the amount of $123,012.00 was passed with a motion by Mr. Adam Wheatley and a second by Mr. Damon Jackey.

TNHS Construction: Tapered Roof
During the Board Work Session on September 3rd, we discussed the advisability of requesting a waiver from the Kentucky Department of Education regarding the use of tapered insulation as an acceptable means of providing positive slope (see attached letter). A letter was sent from the Superintendent to that effect. After a meeting with personnel from the Facilities Department, they have asked that this request come forward from the Board of Education as well.
Motion Passed: Action to approve a request for waiver of regulation "702 KAR 4:170, part 3, Paragraph a" regarding the use of tapered insulation as a means to provide positive slope in two places at Thomas Nelson High School was passed with a motion by Mr. Nicky Rapier and a second by Mr. Larry Pate.
