KDE and Measured Progress conducted a portfolio audit of a sample of writing portfolio scores that were submitted at the conclusion of the local scoring window. Audits have been a regular part of the writing portfolio program since 1993. As in prior years, the intent of the audit was to verify the scores and scoring process for these portfolios. The audit this year was especially important because there was a major change to the system. Our scoring process moved from a holistic approach to an analytical approach in order to provide more feedback on student performance.
