Rationale

Cox’s Creek Elementary School wishes to pursue a Kentucky Arts Council Teaching Art Together (TAT) grant for the spring semester this year. The school wishes to seek a one week artist residency in Theatre Arts to support West African Dance Project residency with Deborah Denenfield. CCE music teacher Kelly Kapusuzoglu will be the primary contact for the artist during this residency. Teachers and students will work with Denenfield to learn about the West African culture, characteristics and elements of drama and theatre. The grant request is for $600, with a required $400 match.
