Coffee Shop Project - This has been in the works for about 3 years or so; it will be able to serve our community.  They have gotten grants in the past.  All CTE programs will be involved.  Projected income of $75,000 per year.  Grants submitted so far have been 2 grants.  CAT grants of about $4000, Piper Coffee has been the prime donor of equipment.

There will be state assessments this year.  There will be a waiver in KY of labels being applied to schools based on testing.  10th graders have already taken the ACT.

Discussion

The Review of Organizational Structure was provided by Chris Dockins to Christine Thompson and it needs Food Service added to it. Mr. Chittenden was asked to give report to the board by the May meeting.  Mr. Chittenden and Ms. Amy Ramage gave comments.

Discussion included the question of how much adding retirement benefits to the Independent Consultant Agreement would cost (amount was unknown at the time) and asking the board attorney whether it was customary to pay retirement benefits to a consultant (board attorney indicated he wasn’t sure whether it is customary.)
