Work Session
Project-based learning has been around for a long time and has recently been gaining momentum.
As we prepare to enter into the Facility Planning Process, we need to consider the instructional needs for our students while incorporating the current CTE resources that we already have available to us.
What should a 21st century library look like?
What would a 21st century project-based facility look like?
How do we update and upgrade something like room 25 (the diesel mechanic shop that is currently being used for AC and Open Campus)?
We need to consider a vision that will provide the students with more than a library/computer lab. I envision the library becoming a true 21st century media/technology resource center with room 25 becoming an Innovation HUB or Maker's Space. These options would expand our CTE offerings while maintaining our partnership with the Paducah Area Technology Center.
