We have received an offer to purchase three buses for the price of two. This has been made possible due to a grant that the manufacturing company received. Our budget has been approved to purchase two buses each year; this recommendation is being made for FY19 as well. We have already purchased one bus for this fiscal year. If we approve the quote to purchase the three buses, one of the buses can be invoiced for this fiscal year while the other two buses could be invoiced for FY19; maintaining the budgetary cycle to maintain our bus fleet.

The staffing allocation formula has been adjusted to include a recommended increase of staffing at the elementary schools from 15% to 20% of their corresponding Section 2 allocation; the high school receiving an increase from 25%-35% of their corresponding Section 2 allocation, and the middle school remaining at 25% of their corresponding Section 2 allocation. The staffing allocation formula that the board provides is well above the minimum requirements of the state, and utilizes any additional funding that would be considered Section 7, resulting in zero Section 7 funds being available for request.
