4.a.
Salt Spreader Bids
Salt Spreader bids were opened on December 2, 2024. The highest bid was $300 from Norman Calfee.
4.b.
Fidelity Bond
The fidelity bond requirements summarized in KRS 160.560 require an official bond to be approved by the local board of Education and the Kentucky Commissioner of Education. Cost of the bond is paid with general funds.
4.c.
LCMS & LCHS Yearbook Vendor
Lifetouch is the current vendor for middle school and high school yearbooks. Both schools have asked for for board approval to renew (with the same terms) for the 2025-2026 school year. This will allow the high school to begin scheduling senior photography sessions.

Extra Duty Stipend Positions at LCMS
LCMS's extra duty stipend allocation is approximately 66% of the High School's allocation, while it serves nearly 80% of the students. LCMS is requesting the addition/creation of three extra duty positions at a cost of $3,200 which will bring the LCMS extra duty allocation to 77% of the LCHS allocation.
Academic Team Assistant/FPS Coach ($1,200) - Someone other than the head coach is required to be a all Future Problem Solving competitions and two adults are best practice for adequate supervision of students.
Special Education Team Lead ($1,000) - Responsible for resource management; student enrollment review; schedules and leads meetings and trainings; advocates for special education students.
Beta Club Sponsor ($1,000) - Responsible for fundraising and event coordination; state conference, leadership summit; national conference; and community service projects.

Revised 2024-2025 School Calendar
On November 11th there was a water main break and the District had to cancel school. Therefore, the current school calendar needs to be revised. With the new calendar November 11th would become a non-instructional day. May 23rd would become a school day, closing day would be moved to May 27th, and May 28th would be the make-up day.

2026-2027 Calendar Committee
Per KRS 158.070 the local board of education, shall annually appoint a school district calendar committee to review, develop, and recommend school calendar options. This year the committee will be looking at the 2026-2027 school calendar. The District is requesting approval of the following committee members and that the Board appoint one Board member to serve on the committee.

Surplus Furniture
Highland Elementary recently purchased new furniture and is requesting approval to surplus the oldest furniture that is no longer needed to make room to store the furniture that is currently in classrooms. The furniture to be surplussed is unused, broken, and/or outdated and is currently being housed in the outdoor buildings.

LCHS Club Trip
The LCHS Beta Club and Gifted and Talented program seek to offer an educational travel opportunity to Dublin, Ireland, and London, England in the summer of 2026 through EF Educational Tours. The last international trip offered by LCHS was in 2019, when Dr. Sonya Anglin and other staff successfully led 25 students to Ireland, also in partnership with EF Educational Tours. The process was safe, well-organized, and easy to navigate. EF Educational Tours is known for fostering global awareness, personal growth, and future readiness among students while maintaining affordability and providing flexible payment options. They also offer robust support for fundraising and guide participants through every step of the process. LCHS is eager to collaborate with EF Educational Tours once again to make this valuable experience accessible to our students and community.
LCHS is seeking board approval to allow EF Education Tours to meet with parents and students from Lincoln Co. High School with the purpose of establishing a travel abroad opportunity for all students to Dublin, Ireland and London, England during the summer of 2026 and begin the fundraising process.

Temperature Monitoring System
Food Service is in need of a temperature monitoring system at five of schools. Freezers are full and right now there is nothing in place to monitor them if they go down during a break. (fall, spring, summer, winter and weekends)
Cost for a new system is $8,018.50
- 20 temperature gauges - freezer/Cooler @ 129.00 = 1806.00
- 20 door senses - freezer/cooler @ 124.00 1,736.00
- SoniLink Hub - 5 schools @ 499.00 = 1,746.00
- Monitoring five schools @132.00/year = 2,640.00 (50 % discount with HPS)
- Shipping - 90.00
Total: 8,018.50
Crab Orchard, Hustonville, and Waynesburg are covered by the Geothermal system, so no new system is needed.

Revised Policy 09.2 Student Welfare and Wellness
The Food Service Department requested approval of the following changes to Board Policy 09.2 Student Welfare and Wellness:
Two additional goals were added to the under the heading Wellness Leadership:
- promote more farm to school purchasing
- All serving line signage is in compliance with USDA Food Service guidelines
The Standard "Recess shall not be taken from students as a form of disciplinary action" was added under the heading Physical Activity and Physical Education.

Revised EC Calendar
The Lincoln County Early Childhood program is requesting to amend the 2024-2025 calendars to reflect the 'No School Day' on November 11, 2024.

5.a.
Partial School Day for Student
Student # 22-1 hour a week once a week as medically necessary per doctor's statement and documented on the IEP.

5.b.
Additional Special Education Teacher Position
Special education teachers are limited to the number of students they can carry on their caseload. Currently the special education teachers at Stanford Elementary and Lincoln County Middle, have reached their caseload limits. To resolve this the district needs to employ one special education teacher who would split their time between the two schools. The approximate cost would be $22,000 for the remainder of the school year. This would be funded through IDEA.

5.c.
Orientation and Mobility Specialist
The district is in need of an Orientation and Mobility Specialist for a vision impaired student in the district. An O&M Specialist teaches students with visual impairments to move around the environment safely and independently. This need is documented in the IEP. The rate for services is $130 per hour. For the student requiring services the approximate cost will be $3200 for the remainder of this school year. This will be paid with IDEA funds.

5.d.
Contract with ProCare Therapy
The district has an unfilled position posted for a school psychologist since May of 2024. A candidate has been found through the ProCare Therapy agency. Special Education is seeking approval to enter into a contract with ProCare Therapy for one school psychologist at the rate of $80 an hour for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, beginning in January and for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. The total amount is approximately $60,000 to be paid with IDEA funds.

5.e.
District-Wide Writing Training
Test scores have shown the District is in need of an effective writing plan that uses the same processes for Kindergarten through Twelfth grade. The District is requesting to partner with Danville schools to provide a four (4) day 'train the trainer' professional development series from Thinking Maps, Inc. Total cost of the series is $12,000 and Danville will pay half the cost. Select teacher leaders will participate in the series so they can train writing staff at each school.
