The KETS Offer of Assistance supports the implementation of the District's technology plan.  The offer of $33,343 will be escrowed up to three years. 

The District requests the following items o be considered for approval by the Board at the November Meeting. These items are pertaining to BG# 23-081 RTA #2235 Lincoln Middle School Corridor Connector.

For the Lincoln Corridor Connector Project: RTA #2235 BG# 22-282:

1. Consider approval of Change Order #4 for a Credit of (-$28,000) for the unused Allowance for unsuitable soils. Change Order attached. Upon approval, please sign and return to RTA.
2. Consider approval of Pay App #6 to Jarboe Construction , Inc. in the amount of $141,105.31. This is the final pay application for this project.
3. Consider approval of the BG-4 form for this project. Form Attached, upon approval by the board please sign and return to RTA.

Under federal law, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Equal Education Opportunities Act of 1974, public schools are required to take affirmative steps to ensure that English learner students can meaningfully participate in educational programs. Also, the U.S. Department of Education and U.S. Department of Justice require schools to communicate information to limited English proficient parents in a language they can understand about any program, service, or activity that is called to the attention of parents who are proficient in English. Due to these requirements, the district is in need of interpreters to provide these services.

Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services is interest in acquiring approximately one half to one acre of property at the Kings Mountain location.  The intention is to build and relocate one of the EMS stations to this site.  The request was made to the school board in the past, but with the change in Administration, wanted to revisit the discussion.
