4.a. Personal Service Contract
Rationale

The Exceptional Child Department requests approval of a Personal Service Contract for a Moderate to Severe Disabilities teacher to provide specialized services for a student on home hospital.  The contract covers twenty (20) 6.5 hour days which is enough to provide these services through the end of the school year.  Exceptional Child funds will be used to pay for the teacher. 

4.b. MOA with Campbellsville University
Rationale

The District requests approval of a Memorandum of Agreement with Campbellsville University that allows Lincoln County Schools to provide student teaching experience for students preparing for the educational profession. 

4.c. Copier Purchase for Transportation
Rationale

The Transportation Department is in need of a new copier and requests approval for the purchase of a Savin copier and service contract with Danville Officer Equipment. 

4.d. Early Childhood Self-Assessment Process
Rationale

Annually, the Early Childhood program must conduct a self-assessment.  The process must be approved by the Policy Council and Board of Education.  Early Childhood is requesting that this process be approved, in order to move forward with the data collection and analysis process.

5.a. Payments for Track & Field Updates
Rationale

Ross Tarrant submitted project number 2259– BG# 23-138 Pay Application #6 in the amount of $93,284.77 to Rising Sun Developing, Inc. for the Field and Track Improvements and associated Direct Purchase Orders. The pay application and DPO invoices were reviewed and found to be appropriate and fair.

5.b. Board Policy 03.6 Volunteers
Rationale

The District requests to add the following language to the Volunteer Policy:

In addition to the above mandatory disqualifications, the Superintendent shall have the authority to disqualify any individual from participating in school and/or District programs as a volunteer based on background check results or other information available to the Superintendent.

If the Superintendent disqualifies an individual from participating as a volunteer for reasons not referenced listed above, the Superintendent shall communicate, in writing, the reasons for the disqualification to that individual.

Appeal

The individual may ask the Superintendent to reconsider a discretionary disqualification

6.a. Board Member to Early Childhood Policy Council
Rationale

Board members serve on differing committees as a part of their job duties.

6.b. Board Policy 04.11 Duties and Responsibilities of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson
Rationale

Board policy 04.11 Duties and Responsibilities of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson has been revised to include language concerning Board member appointment to committees.
