4.a. Security Cameras
Rationale

The District is requesting approval of a contract with Integration Partners to install a new security cameral system at Lincoln County High School. 

4.b. Branscum Construction Pay App. #1
Rationale

The District is requesting approval to pay the Branscum Construction Pay Application #1 in the amount of $33,300 for work completed in the on the Lincoln County ATC  Welding Lab renovation.  Pay application to be paid out of Fund 360 with bond proceeds.  

4.c. Mowing and Health Services Bids
Rationale

Review and discussion of the Health Services and Mowing bids. 

4.d. Advertise for Bids
Rationale

The District is requesting permission to advertise and accept sealed bids for the following:

  • Bus parts & supplies
  • Bank depository services from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
  • School pictures for the 2022-2023 school year

4.e. Renew Contracts
Rationale

The District is requesting permission to renew contracts for the 2022-2023 school year with the following vendors:

  • LifeTouch (LCHS & LCMS yearbooks)
  • C & N Vending (snack vending)
  • American Fire & Security
  • Guardian Exterminating (pest control) 
  • Republic Services (garbage pickup and disposal)

4.f. MOU with Family Scholar House
Rationale

Their Response Center is available to students from Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm ET. The following  opportunities are available to students: apprenticeship & academic coaching, support with coursework completion, assistance with  financial aid & scholarships, assistance in applying for necessary welfare benefits, connect to resources such as food pantries, childcare, transportation, etc., career coaching and exploration, resume building, interview preparation, and professionalism, job search, health & wellness coaching, support navigating community resources emergency assistance,  support in navigating on-line coursework, and assistance to apply for Emergency Broadband benefits.  There is no cost to the district for these resources. 

 

4.g. Budget Revision for Van Purchase
Rationale

A budget revision is requested for $26,220 to purchase a van.  The van purchased was only $25,000 and board approval is needed to move the excess funds of $1,200 to supplies and materials.  

4.h. Literacy Tutor at Hustonville Elementary
Rationale

A literacy tutor is needed at Hustonville Elementary to work with students in small groups to improve sound awareness, phonics, sight words, fluency, and comprehension in an effort to increase proficiency in reading. The literacy tutor will also work closely with the FRYSC site supervisor to remove non-academic barriers for all students. 

Hustonville Elementary is requesting permission to apply  for a continuation request for a literacy tutor through the FRYSC/AmeriCorps program at Hustonville Elementary and to accept the request if granted. Funding includes a cash match of $6500 that would come from ESSER Funds.

4.i. Gear Up Staffing
Rationale

The Gear Up grant provides tutoring opportunities during and after school for middle school students and request permission to hire peer tutors, retired teachers, school day and substitute staff, and contract employees.  All hires will be fully vetted per board policy with applicable background/drug screenings and paid according to the board approved salary schedule.

Gear Up is requesting approval to hire peer tutors, retired teachers, school day and substitute staff, and contract employees to work in the Gear Up Program.  All staff will be paid through Gear Up funds.  

4.j. Coaching Salaries and Positions
4.k. Bluegrass Area Development District
Rationale

Bluegrass Area Development District representatives will discuss the process to redraw district board member division boundaries. 

Per KRS 160.210, county school districts board members shall be elected from divisions. Any changes made in division boundary lines shall be to make divisions as equal in population and containing integral voting precincts insofar as is practical. No change may be made in division boundary lines less than five (5) years after the last change in any division lines, except in case of merger of districts, a change in territory due to annexation, or to allow compliance with KRS 117.055(2).
