Rationale

Board approval is required to submit the School Security Funds Request for reimbursement  on school security upgrades.  Total amount requested is $99,346.

3.f. Advertise for Mowing Bids
Rationale

The District requests permission to advertise and accept sealed bids for mowing services for the 2022 mowing season.

3.g. Student Accident Insurance Quotes
Rationale

Roberts Insurance provided quotes for student accident insurance for the Board's approval.

3.h. 09.36 AP .2 School-Related Student Trip Funding
Rationale

Language was added to the procedure regarding cost of mileage in excess of 50 miles and circumstance requiring prior Board approval. 

3.i. Advertise for School Health Services
Rationale

The District is requesting permission to advertise for bids for school health services for the 2022-2023 school year.

3.j. Assurances for FRC/YSC
Rationale

The Lincoln County Family Resource/Youth Service Centers are required to submit their Continuation Program Plan in even number years.  As part of that process, the Board of Education is asked to sign assurances for their responsibilities as the supporting district. 

3.k. Coaching Salaries
Rationale

Review and discuss coaching salaries at both Lincoln County Middle School and Lincoln County High School. 

3.l. Jumps Coach
Rationale

The LCHS Track & Field Booster Club is requesting Board approval to hire a Jumps Coach for the 2022 season.  The annual salary of $800.00 would be paid by the Booster Club. 

3.m. 21st CCLC Floating Substitute Position
Rationale

Due to quarantines, the 21st CCLC after-school program request to create a 21st CCLC floating substitute position for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.  The position would be paid with 21st CCLC funds. 

3.n. 2023-2024 School Calendar
3.o. Copier for Highland Elementary
Rationale

The copier at Highland Elementary is not functioning properly, for this reason, Highland Elementary requests approval to purchase a new copier from Danville Office Equipment.  

3.p. Wellness Nutrition Report
Rationale

The annual Wellness Nutrition report requires board approval. 

3.q. Director of Strength & Conditioning
Rationale

The Director of Strength & Conditioning would be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strength and conditioning program for all sports, with the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills. The Director would meet regularly with coaches to determine what the athletes need to work on. If working with an injured athlete engaged in rehabilitation, the Director would consult with the sports medicine and coaches. The Director would be responsible for maintaining the strength and conditioning facility, and for establishing policies, plans, and procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility.

3.r. Board Member Division Boundaries
Rationale

Per KRS 160.210, county school districts board members shall be elected from divisions. Any changes made in division boundary lines shall be to make divisions as equal in population and containing integral voting precincts insofar as is practical. No change may be made in division boundary lines less than five (5) years after the last change in any division lines, except in case of merger of districts, a change in territory due to annexation, or to allow compliance with KRS 117.055(2).
