Good News Report
We have had a successful two and a half weeks of school.
Club Fair was held on August 28 and clubs will start to meet on Wednesday, September 9.
New Teacher Mentorship Program.
The Positive People Committee has hosted events for staff and student recognition is continuing. Weekly PBIS rewards are continuing. Other returning activities include student of the month, end of quarter reward events, teacher and staff member of the month, etc.
Fall Sports are underway.

Student Achievement Update
Ninth and tenth grade students were all given the MAP Assessment for Math and Reading last week.
Department PLCs will be reviewing their student data. SBDM will review a summary at the next meeting.
Teachers are working to strengthen instructional and curricular approaches. Amazing engagement strategies and student support is ongoing.
The tentative public release date for the 2025–2026 Kentucky School Report Card and accountability data is October 15, 2026.

2025-2026 School Accountability Data will be public on October 15, 2026.
MAP Assessment Data will be reviewed throughout the year.

Extracurricular Policy Second Reading
Review Extracurricular Programs Policy. (Page 22 of Policy Manual)
Review participation requirements and procedures for extracurricular activities and events.
Review 2025-26 extracurricular offerings and planned 2026-27 offerings.
Motion Passed: Motion to approve the extracurricular policy as amended passed with a motion by Mr. Brian Blair and a second by Mrs. Leigh Ward and the consensus of the council.
Change: Be present for all classes the day of the activity or the day prior if on a weekend or holiday. An exemption may include school-sponsored off-campus activities, such as college visits, or an approved doctor note unrelated to illness. To: Be present at school the day of the activity or have an excused absence for the day of the activity.
