1. Call to Order/Roll Call

5. New Business
5.1. Attendance Incentives
Discussion

Attendance has bounced back to in the 90% and above.  Classes have started building their bobcat.  Teacher have stated that students are excited about this incentive.

5.2. Hiring of an instructional aid (Preschool)
Discussion

Interviews will be set up as soon as the posting date is up.  As of now, April 1st will be interview dates if candidates can make it on that day.

6. Budget/Finance
6.1. SBDM Funds

The council discussed the budget.  Approximately 25% of the year's budget remains.

6.2. District Activity Funds
Discussion

District activity funds was reviewed.  End of year awards and incentives will be taken out of this in May.  

6.3. Title I Funds
Discussion

The council discussed the Title I funds and talked about things to purchase.  Some things included books for the vending machine, Kinder Camp materials and parent academy items.

6.4. Faculty Funds
Discussion

The council will explore how the faculty can create funds for things such as funeral flowers for staff member families, retirement gifts and teacher appreciation week.  Ron Flannery will be contacted to find out if there is a way for this to happen in compliance with Redbook.

7. Curriculum/Academics
7.1. Bobcat Parent Academy
Discussion

The next Bobcat Academy will take place before Science Guy Night, on April 9th.  Parents will be given items to help their students with math and reading.

7.2. On-demand scrimmage
Discussion

On-demand scrimmage will take place for all students in April, the same week as MAP testing.  The district will provide the writing prompts.

7.3. MAP Testing first and Second Grade
Discussion

MAP testing will be in the middle of April.  The council discussed students participating in the screener after spring break as a run through to make sure devices work well and students are able to get used to how the testing system works.

7.4. Science Fair Night- March 20, 2025
Discussion

Science Fair Night will be March 20th.  The council discussed students setting up their projects in their classrooms and parents traveling around to see them.

7.5. Exit Criteria

Exit criteria continues to be developed and reviewed.

9.1. Review and monitor plan

The council reviewed the CSIP and updated the 30-60-90 day plan.

10. Other Business
Discussion

A staff moral committee was suggested, including fundraising.  PRI purchases were also discussed.  PRI has been purchasing teacher wishlist items and Parent Academy items.  They will also be sponsoring a wheelchair basketball game.

10.1. PTO Biddy League Basketball
Discussion

The PTO will be sending out permission forms for Biddy League basketball.  The games will take place at Sebastian Elementary.

10.2. End of Year Planning
Discussion

Awards Day, Preschool Graduation and an end of the year field day were discussed.  Ideas for the end of the year bash were carnival themed with face painting, field day, bouncy houses, water balloons and a cookout.
