Elect Secretary and Vice Chairperson
Motion Passed: The council's motion to elect Megan white as vice chairperson and Vicie Pelfrey as secretary passed with a motion by Guy Coomer and a second by Wanda Noble and the consensus of the council.
Vicie Pelfrey was elected as secretary and Megan White was chosen as Vice Chairperson.

Set Dates for 2024-2025 Regular Meetings
Motion Passed: SBDM meeting dates passed with a motion by Wanda Noble and a second by Megan White and the consensus of the council.
The council will meet on the second Monday of each month at 4:00 in the BES conference room.

SBDM Training
Wanda Noble, Guy Coomer and Jason Fugate have completed training. Vicie Pelfrey, Megan White and Mary Caudill are in the process.

Review and Approve 2024-2025 daily instructional schedule
Motion Passed: The 2024-2025 instructional day schedule passed with a motion by Guy Coomer and a second by Wanda Noble and the consensus of the council.
The council reviewed and discussed the 2024-2025 instructional day schedule.

Kindergarten Kickoff- July 24, 2024
Kindergarten kickoff is scheduled for tonight. Teachers will provided parents and guardians with information and a tour of the school. Devices can be signed for and pick up tags can be given out.
5.6.
Open House- August 1
Open house is scheduled for August 1 from 4:00-6:00. Students can meet their teachers, sign for devices, get pick up tags and get information from several vendors. They will also be given school supplies through the PRI grant.

KSR 158.195 National Motto
Display of the national motto was discussed and members received documents with the statute.

KSR 158.183 Student Rights
Student rights were discussed and members received documentation of the statute.

Kentucky Open Records and Open Meetings Act
A packet containing information about open records and open meetings was handed out. The council looked over it and signed the accompanying receipt form.

A packet containing information about managing government records was handed out. The council looked over it and signed the accompanying receipt form.

Budget/Finance

SBDM Budget Report
The SBDM budget was reviewed. It currently has $19,000 in available funds.

Curriculum/Academics
7.1.
PD for staff August 1,2,and 5. Opening Day August 6. First day for students August 7.
PD days have been planned for the staff. These include opening day trainings, Eureka and Wit and Wisdom trainings.

Policy/Policy Review

Consider approval of the 2024-2025 Emergency Plan
Mr. Fugate went over the 2024-2025 emergency plan with the council.

CSIP
The council discussed the CSIP. Mr. Fugate talked about the process of creating a CSIP and how it would be time to start thinking about the new one soon.
