Review of Mission and Vision Statement

Approval of Agenda
Motion Passed: approval of agenda passed with a motion by Mrs. Jessica Fugate and a second by Mary Kay Caudill and the consensus of the council.

5.
Financial Report
Discussed the amount of money remaining in budget- $15,000. Council will send out a survey to allow teachers to give a list of items they would like to have for their classroom. Also discussed using some of the money for periodicals, books, and STEM materials.

New Business
Spring open house will take place on March 28, 2022 from 3:40-5:00.

Policy Review
Council reviewed the committees policy. Updates will be made to this policy and discussed at the next meeting. Council also started working on an instructional practices policy.

Develop Instructional Practices Policy
Council looked over the KASC sample policy and will develop a policy for MRC.
7.2.
Committees policy review
Council worked on revising the committees policy. Will revisit at the April meeting.
8.
Review 2021-2022 Comprehensive School Improvement Plan
Council discussed the 30-60-90 plan. Talked about upcoming events. Discussed incentives for Dreambox, Lexia, Reading Plus, MAP.
9.
Curriculum
Discussed the March district feedback visit. Will start to focus on ideas for formative assessment and engagement. Discussed surveying staff for materials for hands on learning. Teachers received great feedback concerning learning intentions and success criteria.
9.1.
SQ3R and CUBES
Teachers have implemented the use of SQR3. During the next faculty meeting, CUBES will be introduced for teachers to start using with their students. Learning A-Z will be looked at as an option for material for using SQR3.
10.
Academic Report
Several students were given the MAP screener to check for progress. A high number of students were able to move to a higher tier. Spring MAP testing for grades 3-6 will take place starting March 21st.

Council discussed possibly having 6th grade honors day, and if so to start the planning.
