Call to Order
Board Chair Farrah Pruitt called the meeting to order at 6:14 p.m. following a public tax hearing beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Twelve people signed in to comment on the proposed tax rate. Two written opinions submitted by community members were read aloud by Board Members Farrah Pruitt and Teresa Gilbert.
Following public comments, Board Members took time to offer their personal thoughts regarding tax revenue to help fund future projects and up keep on existing district facilities.

Tax Rate Approval for Fiscal Year2025
The General Fund tax levied in fiscal year 2025 was 53.0 cents on real property and 53.0 cents on
personal property and produced revenue of $5,221,675. The proposed General Fund tax rate of 57.2
cents on real property and 57.2 cents on personal property is expected to produce $6,041,610. Of this
amount $954,352 is from new and personal property. The compensating tax for 2025-2026 is 51.4 cents
on real property and 51.4 cents on personal property and is expected to produce $5,428,999.
Approve the proposed General Fund tax rate of 57.2 cents on real property and 57.2 cents on personal property
