Before the first item on the agenda, the Board heard an update from Laith Ross,  of RossTarrant Architects, on the track and field project.

3. HES PTO Request for Approval for HES Playground Upgrades - WL Miller
Rationale

The HES PTO asks for approval for upgrades to the playground.  Phases will depend upon approval and funding for each project level.

See attached.

4. Approve Donation from Lakeshore Learning - Adryanne Warren
Rationale

Lakeshore Learning has accepted a donation request from Ashley Carter.  Lakeshore Learning would like an approval to donate a kidney table that is on wheels and the top is a dry erase board.  Mrs. Carter will the use the kidney table when grouping specific students that may need an extension or intervention time with the teacher. An area for small groups will allow for more responsiveness to individual questions, preferences, and needs. It also benefits Mrs. Carter's co-teachers when they provide services in my classroom and lends itself to station teaching or parallel teaching strategies. 

5. Headstart MOA - Savannah Boone
Rationale

LaRue County Schools partners with Central Kentucky Headstart to provide special education services to students with disabilities who attend Headstart. This MOA allows us to continue doing that.

6. 2024-2025 Nelson Co. ATC Memorandum of Agreement - Amanda Reed
Rationale

2024-2025 MoA is attached. No changes for next year.

7. SRO Agreement for SY2024-25 - David Raleigh
Rationale

For your review, attached is the School Resource Officer (SRO) memorandum of agreement between LaRue County Schools and the City of Hodgenville Police Department for the 2024-25 school year.

All changes are identified in blue font. The agreement has been reviewed and agreed upon by Mayor Jim Phelps, Police Chief James Richardson, and School Board Attorney, Tom Claycomb.

The agreement will go into effect July 1, 2024.

8. Johnson Controls Service Agreement Renewal - WL Miller
Rationale

2024 Service Agreement renewal between LaRue County School District and Johnson Controls Fire Protection, LP.

The planned service agreement is a one-year term beginning August 1, 2025 and ending  July 31, 2025.  The annual cost is $17,251.00.

9. Textbook Surplus - Tara Wooden
Rationale

The attached list of books have been replaced with new versions over the years. These books are no longer needed for instructional purposes. In accordance with KAR

45A425 (Surplus or Excess Property), I am requesting these materials be declared

as surplus so they may be disposed. They will either be sold or recycled. If a buyer

can be found, the revenue will go into the board general fund and be used to

purchase replacement textbooks and resources at the school where these books are

currently housed.

Rationale

The District recently had an audit of the federal ARP ESSER Pandemic Funding.  The District had one finding in the audit, missing federal requirements from the purchasing manual.  Attached is the required action report by KDE and a Federal Grants Purchasing Addendum that corrects the finding. 

This is the first reading.

Discussion on updating the District's propane contract. 

14. Updated Classified Hourly Salary Schedule - Jessica Castenir
Rationale

Correct food service rate increases for managers (from $2.5 to $3) and assistant managers ($.50 to $1).  See attached classified hourly salary schedule.

15. Update FRYSC Classified Salary Schedule - Jessica Castenir
Rationale

FRYSC Salary Schedule was submitted incorrectly.  See attached for correct FRYSC Classified Salary Schedule (6.5% increase)

Update the FY2025 Stipend Schedule with the following changes:
