Call to Order
The Chair of the Board of Education is calling a special meeting of the Board of Education to be held on Thursday, May 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
The purpose of this meeting is for Board members to have discussions and to consider a contract for the employment of Dr. H. Brian Yearwood.
This meeting will be conducted via video-teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.823 and KRS 61.826. The primary location for this meeting and where all members can be seen and heard by the public will be Stewart Auditorium, VanHoose Education Center. Members are permitted to attend in-person or via video teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.826. II.
Discussion and Consideration of Motion to Approve Contract for Employment of Dr. H. Brian Yearwood
Order #2025-93 - Motion Passed: A motion to approve the contract for the employment of Dr. Brian Yearwood as Superintendent of the Jefferson County Public Schools, effective July 1, 2025, passed with a motion by Mr. James Craig and a second by Mr. Trevin Bass.

Adjournment
Order #2025-94 - Motion Passed: A motion to adjourn the May 29, 2025, special meeting at 5:03 p.m. passed with a motion by Mr. Taylor Everett and a second by Ms. Gail Logan Strange.
