Call to Order
The Chair of the Board of Education is calling a special meeting of the Board of Education to be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
The purpose of this meeting is for Board members to convene in Executive Session to discuss finalists in the superintendent search and have discussions that may lead to the appointment of an individual employee pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1)(f).
Portions of this meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1)(f) of the KY Open Meetings Act.
This meeting will be conducted in person. The primary location for this meeting and where all members can be seen and heard by the public, will be the VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

Enter Executive Session per KRS 61.810(1)(f) to Have Discussions That May Lead to the Appointment of an Individual Employee
Order #2025-90 - Motion Passed: A motion that the Board conduct a closed session to have discussions that may lead to the appointment of an individual employee pursuant to KRS 61.810 (1)(f) passed with a motion by Mr. James Craig and a second by Ms. Gail Logan Strange.

Adjourn from Executive Session

Possible Consideration of a Motion
Order #2025-91 - Motion Passed: A motion to authorize the Board Chair to communicate an offer to the finalist identified in closed session and authorize legal counsel to begin contract negotiations with the finalist or his representative passed with a motion by Ms. Tricia Lister and a second by Mr. James Craig.

Adjournment
Order #2025-92 - Motion Passed: A motion to adjourn the May 22, 2025, special meeting at 6:48 p.m. passed with a motion by Ms. Gail Logan Strange and a second by Mr. Trevin Bass.
