Public Comments
The Franklin County Board of Education has provided time in its agenda for individuals to make comments. Comments to the Board will be allowed up to a maximum of three (3) minutes. The Board does not allow comments on any matter dealing with personnel issues. Kentucky law states specifically that personnel matters are the responsibility of the Superintendent. On all personnel matters, you should contact the Superintendent of Schools. No questions, comments, or decisions/action related to public comments will be made by Board members at this time, unless the specific topic is on the agenda; however, the Board will listen to the comments and/or suggestions which may lead to a discussion of same at a future meeting. If an individual wishes for the Board to discuss and/or take action on a particular issue, they must follow the procedures outlined in Franklin County Board of Education Policy 10.2. The Superintendent or the designee will be able to assist in this request.

Air-Time Contract-WRE
The contract is attached for approval. This event is part of field day activities and good faith effort for the KSA test at Westridge Elementary.

FY26 Read to Achieve Contract
The FY26 Read to Achieve Contract for the Reading Diagnostic & Intervention Grant is attached for approval.

FCC Contract for Prom-WHHS
The contract with The Frankfort Country Club for the Western Hills High School Prom is attached for approval.
IX.C.4.
Cassidy LLC MOU-ACA
The contract with Laura Cassidy and The Academy is attached for approval.
The Academy would like to host and partner with Laura Cassidy, LPCC-S, to provide our students with DBT. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), is skills group therapy focusing on handling emotions, while navigating relationships within their environment.
Cassidy LLC will bill clients insurance and if the insurance is not accepted or not available, there will not be a cost.
The Academy will use DBT as a strategy for meeting court ordered goals and SEL deficits observed during the school day.
All students who will participate will do so with parental consent. This service will not take place during academic core instruction.

Avigilon Alta Video Agreement Amendment
Franklin County Schools partnered with ERS Wireless to enhance our district's security camera infrastructure last summer. As part of this collaboration, ERS Wireless has agreed to provide FCS with 37 additional Avigilon Alta cameras, aligning with the board-approved contract from the May 6, 2024 meeting.
This amendment has a cost of zero dollars for the district and ensures comprehensive coverage and improved surveillance capabilities across our campuses, thereby strengthening the safety and security of our students, staff, and facilities.

Main Event Updated Agreement-CLE
The updated agreement with a date change to May 20, 2025 for the 3rd and 4th grade is attached for approval. The original date approved was May 15th.
IX.C.8.
Transfr Inc. Contract-FFECC
Attached for approval is the renewal contract for five (5) virtual reality training headsets. The headsets are used at Future Forward Education & Career Center by students to explore various career pathways and receive virtual reality training on a plethora of trades. This project will be funded through our DJJ grant.

Traveling by plane.
Staying in the Marriott Village in Orlando, FL.
The cost for students is approximately $650 which includes registration, hotel accomodations, air transportation, props and competition materials, and park tickets.
There are scholarships available for students who cannot pay or require a reduced rate for the trip.They will be fundraising as well.

Volleyball Camp Overnight Trip-FCHS
The Franklin County High School Volleyball Team would like to request permission to attend the Morehead State University Team Camp on July 11th-13th, 2023 in Morehead, KY. 25 players will be attending the camp and 3 coaches. Players will be paying their own fees to attend camp and meals will be provided by MSU. A bus will be needed for both Friday, July 11 and Sunday, July 13. Students will be staying on campus and two coaches (Dale Adkins, Susan Hellard) will be going as coaches and chaperones.

Varsity Volleyball Tournament Overnight Trip-FCHS
The Franklin County High School Varsity Volleyball Team would like to request permission to participate at a varsity tournament at Allen County-Scottsville High School in Scottsville, KY on Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. 15 players will be attending the tournament and 4 coaches (Dale Adkins, Suzie Hellard, John Harris, Sean House). They will be staying at the Drury Inn and Suites in Bowling Green, KY. The FCHS Volleyball Boosters will pay for the lodging and a meal on Friday night. Players will be responsible for their meals on Saturday.

JAG Overnight Competition-FCHS
The FCHS Jobs for America's Graduates(JAG) program was established in Jan 2022 and since that time we've been growing and learning within the JAG space. As part of JAGKY we are required to compete in our annual Career Development Conference (CDC).
The team, which consists of 4 students, finished as State Runner-Ups earning the opportunity to compete at nationals. FCHS JAG requests approval to go to Indianapolis, IN on April 24, 2025 - April 27, 2025 to compete in the Business Plan competition at the JAG National CDC.
They will stay at The Marriott and the rooms would cost approximately $2500. Fundraisers will offset the cost.

Westridge requests approval for the Art to Remember fundraiser to benefit the Art Program with supplies.

Volleyball Skills Camp/Fundraiser-FCHS
The Franklin County High School Volleyball Team is requesting permission to host a volleyball skills camp on June 2-5, 2025 at FCHS from 9:00am-12:00pm. This will be for students entering grades 1-6. The cost for each camper will be $100. This will be considered a fundraiser for the FCHS Volleyball Booster Club.

Capital City Classic Volleyball Tournament/Fundraiser-FCHS
The Franklin County High School Volleyball Team would like to host our annual tournament, the Capital City Classic on September 12-13, 2025. There will be 16 teams that will be participating in the tournament. The cost for teams to participate will be $300 and each team will play 4 games total. We plan to use the gyms at both FCHS and Elkhorn Middle School. Western Hills High School will be co-hosting on Saturday, September 13. Funds collected from tournament fees, t-shirt sales, and other concessions will be considered a fundraiser for the FCHS Volleyball Booster Club and the WHHS Volleyball Booster Club.

The Franklin County Dance Team requests approval to host a summer camp as a fundraiser. The camp will be held June 9-12, 2025 for grades k-8 and will cost $60-$70.
